Jessica graduated from Durham University in 2021 with a BSc in Geography, and as part of her degree gained widespread experience with field surveys both in the UK and abroad. During this time, she also developed technical expertise in GIS to solve environmental problems.
Before ECOSA, she worked for an environmental consultancy in the water team; here she got involved in various ecological surveys, including assisting with preliminary bat roost assessments and breeding bird surveys. Researching the impacts of water pollution on aquatic habitats further sparked her interest in this field.
Outside of work, she enjoys being active through hiking, cycling and water sports such as paddle boarding. She has always had a passion for art and enjoys being creative through painting and drawing in her spare time.
