Megan Woolley

BSc Ecology

Ecologist

Megan graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2016 having studied Ecology. As part of her degree she took part in a tropical research project in the Bornean rainforest on behalf of the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

During her dissertation project she harnessed her passion for ornithology which she puts to good use when carrying out bird surveys for ECOSA.

Megan first joined ECOSA in 2018 as a bat surveyor and completed the work placement scheme in 2021. Having gained experience in project management and various protected species surveys (bats, great crested newt, hazel dormouse, badger, otter, water vole and reptiles to name a few!), Megan joins the ECOSA team as an Ecologist. She holds Level 1 Natural England class licences for great crested newt and hazel dormouse.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys playing folk tunes on the violin and exploring in nature.
