New service - climb and inspect tree surveys

04 March 2014

With Principal Ecologist, Sam Munslow, now fully qualified (NPTC CS38) to climb and undertake tree inspections to assess bat roosting potential, ECOSA is excited to offer clients this more effective initial assessment method.

More standard methods of assessing trees for bats are inspections from ground-level followed by surveys of bat activity at dawn and dusk. Being able to survey at height by climbing the tree means a more accurate assessment of features that have potential for bats and, therefore, often avoidance or a reduction in the more labour-intensive activity surveys.

If your project is likely to affect trees, please get in touch to discuss how we can help.
