ECOSA are proud sponsors of the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2017

10 November 2016

Active for over 100 years, The Royal Town and Planning Institute (RTPI) is Europe’s largest professional body for planners with over 23,000 members. The RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence bring together over 400 senior industry figures and recognise best practice both in the UK and internationally.

The 2017 awards campaign launched in September 2016 and will culminate in an awards ceremony on 15th June 2017 at Milton Court in the City of London.

We feel strongly about celebrating projects where ecology and the environment have been considered as an integral part of the planning process, where enhancements for biodiversity have been made, and a development site safeguarded for wildlife for the future; therefore we are delighted to be presenting the Excellence in Planning for the Natural Environment Award next year.

ECOSA seek to inform and educate planning professionals every year about ecology obligations in the planning process through our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) talks. We cover current ecological legislation and how it fits in with the planning process, assessment of impacts in relation to species and protected sites for nature conservation, protected species survey requirements and timescales, and mitigation solutions in relation to development projects.

Our CPD talks are well received and recommended by planning practices, architectural firms, construction companies and local authorities. ECOSA can tailor a CPD session to cater for any specific requirements your company may have. The sessions can also count towards professional CPD.

If you would like more information on how a CPD talk could help you achieve your development aims, please contact Samantha Munslow, Company Manager and Principal Ecologist on 02380 261065, or email info@ecosa.co.uk.
