Following a rigorous application, training and examination process with Natural England, we congratulate Principal Ecologists Frances King-Smith and Simon Boswell on becoming Registered Consultants. They are now able to register under the Bat Low Impact Class Licence (BLICL).
The BLICL licensing route has been designed for where bat roosts of low conservation status are to be affected. The level of bat survey work and assessment required for the BLICL remains the same as for a traditional EPSM licence application in respect of bats; however, the BLICL application process can offer a faster alternative and significantly improve turnaround times for some clients.
As well as Company Director and Principal Ecologist Simon Colenutt, who back in 2015 became one of the first ecologists to achieve accreditation as a Registered Consultant nationwide, the addition of Frances and Simon brings the total available number of Registered Consultants at ECOSA to three, in readiness to meet continued high demand.
